Welcome to our web site.  We are a nonprofit organization Founded & Incorporated in 2011   OUR MISSION The Mount Vernon Writers Network is a non-sectarian organization founded to develop a network whose goal is to assist all wordsmiths (Prose, Poetry, Plays, Memoirs, etc.) in the lower Westchester area communities. To provide and share resources/references/workshops for writers who seek information about publishing, presenting, and perfecting their works. To provide a safe place for wordsmiths to experiment with new styles and forms. Membership is open to all who believe that the written and spoken words are essential aspects of a community’s health and development. All ethnicities, spiritual beliefs and political views are welcome. The organization itself is not affiliated with, or expressively supportive of, any political philosophy or religious organization.
